The Starter plan covers the basics, but website embedding sits on the Exclusive, Professional, and Business tiers instead. So check your plan first if the embed option is not showing up in your dashboard.
Once your plan is sorted, you also need a 24/7 Live Stream event that is already configured. This means your stream source is chosen and ready to go. We will cover that step next.
How Do You Choose a Stream Source for Your 24/7 Event?
YoloCast gives you three stream source options for a 24/7 event: RTMP, SRT, or Simulated Live. Simulated Live uses videos already uploaded to your Media Center. Most creators pick Simulated Live, since it loops existing videos without needing a live encoder running at all.
RTMP and SRT work well if you already have a hardware encoder, like a YoloBox. The same goes for software like OBS feeding a live signal. Here is the full process, step by step:
- Open your 24/7 event and go to Embed . Inside YoloCast, click into your 24/7 Live Stream event, then find the Embed section under the player.
- Choose the integration method to get your code. There are three options: JavaScript, Inline Frame and M3U8 URL.
- Copy the embed code. One click copies the full code block, ready to paste anywhere your website supports HTML.
- Open the WordPress page or post where you want the player. Click the plus icon to add a new block.
- Add a Custom HTML block. Search for “Custom HTML” in the block list, then paste your embed code directly into it.
- Publish or update the page. Your 24/7 player now sits on your WordPress site, running whenever your stream is live.
One more thing worth knowing: WordPress can strip iframe and script tags from a Custom HTML block. This happens if your account lacks full editing permissions, like a Contributor role. Here is exactly how that works:
- Copy your 24/7 destination URL. In your 24/7 event, find the destination details and copy the RTMP or SRT URL.
- Add it as a stream source in YoloCast. Go to Stream Source, click Add Source, and paste the destination URL in.
- Set up a Standard Event on your Box. On your YoloBox, start a Standard Event and select the platform you just added as a destination.
This way, your Box streams into your 24/7 event through the URL connection. The two never sync directly, but the workaround takes just a few extra clicks.
