The latest update to YoloBox Extreme is here, and it’s packed with features the community has been requesting. From full Companion integration to smarter comment automation, richer overlays, and finer control over your video sources, v2.5.0 is all about giving you more precision and flexibility in your live productions. Here’s everything that’s new.
Companion Support
YoloBox Extreme now works with Bitfocus Companion, so you can control your device from a Stream Deck or any Companion-compatible controller. Map functions like audio fade, scene switching, and more to physical buttons for a faster, more tactile workflow during your live shows. (The same functions as YoloDeck)

Smarter Comments: Auto Trigger, Viewer Map & Viewer Credits
Comments just got a major upgrade. Auto Trigger lets your comments display one by one automatically for 10 seconds, so you no longer have to tap each one manually.
Viewer Map can pinpoint a viewer’s location on a map using the “hello from” keyword, and Viewer Credits lets you track and showcase audience contributions live on screen.
Animated Overlays & Comments
Overlays and comments now support animated display effects, with a full library of intro and outro animations and adjustable animation duration. Add polish and motion to your lower thirds, titles, and comment pop-ups to keep your production looking sharp.
USB Camera Resolution & Frame Rate Control
You can now adjust the resolution and frame rate of connected USB cameras directly in Camera Settings, choosing from options like 3840×2160, 1920×1080, and 1280×720 to match your production needs. Here’s the YoloCam S3 example:
90-Day Event Scheduling
Standard Events now support scheduling up to 90 days in advance, making it easier to plan recurring streams and line up your programming well ahead of time.
Advanced Replay & Local Video Playback
Replay and local video playback now support fast forward, rewind, and frame-by-frame stepping, with playback speeds down to 0.25x. Perfect for sports, instant replays, and any moment you want to analyze frame by frame.
Refined Video Source Controls
Video Source controls have been refined with cropping, LUT support, Chroma Key, PTZ control, transitions, and more. Apply professional color profiles, fine-tune your crop and aspect ratio, and key out backgrounds with greater precision.
Overlay Enhancements
Overlays now include XY position control and border customization, giving you pixel-level placement and styling so every element lands exactly where you want it.
Improved UI with Batch Editing
The Video Source and Overlay interfaces have been improved with batch delete support, and Overlays now also support batch add. Manage large numbers of sources and overlays in a fraction of the time.
Custom Font Import
You can now import custom fonts for Overlays, Comments, and the Scoreboard, so your on-screen text can match your brand or event identity exactly.
More Refinements
This release also brings a number of additional improvements:
- Custom layouts now support rounded corner borders and additional crop ratio options
- Invite Guest now includes a quick-add entry for Video Source
- Replay now supports fade transitions
- Max Mode now supports an expandable video source list with full screen display
- Settings now shows YoloCast, Bonding plans, and NDI status

Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where overlay order and names were not saved after duplicating a live stream
- Resolved an occasional crash issue
- Fixed an intermittent artifact issue that could occur during scene transitions
