yCam Privacy Policy

Hangzhou Xingxi Technology Co., Ltd. ("we", "us") fully understands the importance of personal information to you. This Policy explains how yCam (the "App") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information. Please read it carefully before use; by tapping "Agree" you indicate that you fully understand this Policy.

In one sentence: yCam processes photos primarily on your device; only when you actively use the three AI features will the related images be uploaded to our servers, where they are used for the feature itself and retained for training and improving our algorithm models. There is no account system, no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and we never sell any of your information.

1. How We Handle Your Information

1.1 Processed entirely on your device (never leaves your phone)

Real-time viewfinder preview, filter and color rendering

The on-device engine of Color Chase (device-side model)

Photos/videos you capture: saved to your system photo library

Color Chase reference presets, filter strengths, and app settings: stored in the App's sandbox

1.2 Uploaded to our servers (only when you actively use the corresponding feature)

AI composition suggestions: when you tap the composition button, the App uploads one snapshot frame of the current viewfinder to our servers to generate composition guidance and suggestions.

AI crop (edit mode): when you use this feature, the App uploads the photo currently being edited (compressed) to our servers to generate a cropping suggestion.

Cloud engine of Color Chase: enabled only as a fallback when the on-device engine is unavailable. When enabled, the App uploads the current viewfinder snapshot and your chosen reference image (both compressed) to our servers to compute color-transfer parameters.

Use for algorithm training and improvement: the images uploaded above are retained on our servers after processing and used for the training, evaluation, and improvement of the App's algorithm models, so as to continuously improve the features. We will not use them for user profiling, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to the App, will not provide or sell them to any third party, and apply reasonable security and access-control measures. The images are kept for the period necessary to achieve the above purposes, after which they will be deleted or anonymized.

If you do not use the above features, no image data will ever leave your device.

1.3 What we do not collect

No account registration; no identity information such as name or phone number

No precise location information

No third-party analytics, advertising, or social SDKs

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties (except as required by laws and regulations)

2. System Permissions and Their Purposes

Camera: requested when you first enter the shooting screen; used for framing and capture (core function). Without it the App cannot be used.

Photo library (write): requested at first launch; used to save the photos and videos you shoot or edit. Without it your works cannot be saved.

Photo library (read): requested when you first use import or the thumbnail feature; used to import photos for editing and to display the most recent photo thumbnail. Without it the import-editing feature is unavailable.

Microphone: requested when you first record a video; used to record audio. If denied, you can still record video, but without sound.

We follow the principle of minimum necessity: each permission is requested only when the corresponding feature is first used, and you may turn it off at any time in system settings.

3. Storage and Protection

Local data (presets, settings) is stored on your device and is completely removed when you uninstall the App; when you delete a Color Chase preset in the App, its reference image is immediately deleted from the device.

Images uploaded to our servers are kept for the purposes and period described in Section 1.2. We apply reasonable security measures such as access control and encrypted transmission to protect storage and processing.

In the event of a personal-information security incident, we will notify you and report to the regulatory authorities in accordance with the law.

4. Your Rights

Access/Deletion: local data can be managed and deleted directly in the App; uninstalling the App permanently deletes all local data.

Withdrawal of consent: you may turn off any permission in system settings at any time; if you do not use the AI features, no upload occurs. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing already carried out based on prior consent.

Other requests: the App has no account system; to exercise other personal-information rights granted by law, please contact us at contact@yololiv.com and we will respond within 15 business days.

5. Protection of Minors

The App is not designed for children under the age of 14. If you are under 18, please use the App with the consent and guidance of your parents or guardians. If a guardian finds that a child's personal information has been collected, they may contact us for deletion.

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Updates will be announced in the App; material changes to how personal information is processed will require your renewed consent.
