As a result, he can always see exactly what is on air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He could send the Multiview to that screen. However, he prefers Program Out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His reason is practical. In a Multiview layout, the program feed sits in one corner. With a small program window, he may not notice right away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A full-screen Program Out feed, on the other hand, solves that problem. Because it sits in his peripheral vision, the on-air shot is always obvious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, if you run a solo production, consider giving the program feed its own large screen. That way, you can catch switching mistakes before your audience does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Finding_the_YoloBox_Extreme_HDMI_Output_Settings\"><\/span><strong>2. Finding the YoloBox Extreme HDMI Output Settings<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can configure both outputs from the same menu:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Scroll to Output Settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Tap HDMI Out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will see separate settings for HDMI Out 1 and HDMI Out 2. Each output shows its current resolution and the device it is connected to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also change the output frame rate here. Keep in mind that setting a frame rate different from your program frame rate uses extra system resources. PhotoJoseph streams at 30p, so he leaves the output at 30p as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_The_Key_Rule_for_Mixing_4K_and_HD\"><\/span><strong>3. The Key Rule for Mixing 4K and HD<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you assign a resolution, note one important limit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">Output combination<\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">Supported?<\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">HD + HD<\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">Yes<\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">4K + HD<\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">Yes<\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">4K + 4K<\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">No<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In other words, only one output can run at 4K at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, the resolution options depend on what you connect. For example, if HDMI Out 1 feeds a 1080p TV, you will only see HD options. In contrast, if you connect a 4K monitor or 4K recorder, the 4K option becomes available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the video, HDMI Out 1 runs at 1080p to a TV. Meanwhile, HDMI Out 2 sends a 4K signal to another YoloBox that handles his Instagram stream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Choosing_an_Output_Mode\"><\/span><strong>4. Customizing the Multiview Layout<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To start, select <strong>Multiview Out<\/strong>. Then tap the small gear icon next to it to open the layout options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many layouts to choose from, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A simple four-up grid<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Three larger windows plus a smaller four-up group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A traditional Preview and Program layout<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In particular, the Preview and Program layout works well if you use Preview\/Program switching mode. In that case, Preview appears on the left, and Program appears on the right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides choosing a layout, you can also pick which input appears in each window. Furthermore, the Multiview can display live stream information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That said, PhotoJoseph notes that he begins hitting performance limits as he adjusts the layout. Using Custom Out for a Dedicated Feed<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Custom Out<\/strong>, by comparison, lets you send any single video source through an HDMI output. This even includes your custom layouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In fact, PhotoJoseph uses this for his Instagram show. First, he sets one output to Custom Out with a vertical layout. Then that feed goes to a second YoloBox, which streams it to Instagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, one production can serve two formats. Your main stream stays horizontal, while a separate output carries the vertical version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, Custom Out is useful when you need:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A clean camera feed for an external recorder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A dedicated layout for a venue screen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A specific source for a second streaming device<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"7_Sharing_the_Interface_with_Mirror_Out\"><\/span><strong>7. Sharing the Interface with Mirror Out<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, there is <strong>Mirror Out<\/strong>. As the name suggests, it sends a mirror of the entire YoloBox screen through the HDMI output.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PhotoJoseph has used this in past shows. Specifically, he looped the interface back into the YoloBox as an input. Consequently, viewers saw a clean, full-screen view of the interface instead of a top-down camera shot of the device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So if you create tutorials, product demos, or training content, Mirror Out can make the on-screen steps much easier to follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Getting_the_Most_from_YoloBox_Extreme_HDMI_Outputs\"><\/span><strong>Getting the Most from YoloBox Extreme HDMI Outputs<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All in all, the two YoloBox Extreme HDMI outputs give you flexible monitoring and routing options without extra hardware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before your next production, therefore, work through these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First, decide what each screen or device needs to receive.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Next, open <strong>Settings &gt; Output Settings &gt; HDMI Out<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then set only one output to 4K if you need 4K.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Also, match the output frame rate to your program when possible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After that, assign Program, Multiview, Custom, or Mirror Out to each output.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finally, test the full setup, including audio, before going live.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Above all, for solo creators, PhotoJoseph&#8217;s tip is worth remembering: a large Program Out monitor makes it easy to see what your audience sees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To see every step in action, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=TtWeExZMZy0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">watch the full video<\/a> on the YoloLiv Tech YouTube channel.
