One event might cover a football match. A second event, running at the exact same moment, might cover the post-match interview. Neither one touches the other\u2019s stream, page, or destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In our last guide, we <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yololiv.com\/blog\/how-to-run-concurrent-events-on-yolocast-with-2-yoloboxes\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.yololiv.com\/blog\/how-to-run-concurrent-events-on-yolocast-with-2-yoloboxes\/\">ran two concurrent events with two YoloBoxes<\/a>. But your events do not need to match. Each one can use a different kind of source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe the main stage comes from a YoloBox. A breakout room streams from a laptop with OBS. A third event replays this morning&#8217;s session as a Simulated Live broadcast. As a result, all three run at once under one YoloCast account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This guide covers the source types you can use and how many events you can run. Then it shows how to set them up. You can use a YoloBox, OBS, or any encoder that sends RTMP or SRT. You can also use Simulated Live with videos from your Media Center. That means five independent live events can run at the same moment. Each one has its own source and its own destinations. Starter and Professional include fewer, so check your plan before a big day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, this limit counts events, not viewers. Do not mix it up with Concurrent Viewers, which is the number of people who can watch one event. To see the exact numbers for each plan, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yololiv.com\/compare-plans\">compare YoloCast plans<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_Do_You_Set_Up_Concurrent_Events_With_Different_Sources\"><\/span>How Do You Set Up Concurrent Events With Different Sources?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>First, create one event in YoloCast for each broadcast. Next, pick a source type for each event, then connect that source. Then add destinations to each event and go live when you are ready. The events run on their own, so you can start and stop them at different times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is the full process, step by step:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Connect your destinations first.<\/strong> Add YouTube, Facebook, or an RTMP address on the Destinations page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Create an event for each broadcast.<\/strong> Open the Live Events tab and click Create Live Event. Give each event a clear title.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Choose a source type for each event.<\/strong> Then connect it:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>YoloBox:<\/strong> Use the YoloCast tab on your YoloBox, or send the feed with RTMP.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>OBS or another encoder:<\/strong> Choose RTMP or SRT. YoloCast gives you a URL and a stream key. In <a href=\"https:\/\/obsproject.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OBS<\/a>, go to Settings, then Stream. Pick Custom and paste both in.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Simulated Live:<\/strong> Pick videos from your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yololiv.com\/media-center\">Media Center<\/a> in the order you want them to play.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Add destinations to each event.<\/strong> Each event can also go to different platforms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Schedule each event, then go live.<\/strong> If YouTube is a destination, YoloCast creates the event on your channel for you. <a href=\"https:\/\/alanspicer.com\/how-to-have-multiple-livestreams-on-one-youtube-channel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube now supports several live broadcasts on one channel<\/a>, so this works for concurrent events too.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udca1 <strong>Pro Tip:<\/strong> Name each event after its role, like &#8220;Main Stage&#8221; or &#8220;Breakout Room.&#8221; Then you can tell your events apart at a glance when several are live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_Mix_of_Sources_Works_Well_Together\"><\/span>What Mix of Sources Works Well Together?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, a few mixes work well, especially with five events available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>A conference:<\/strong> The main stage runs on a YoloBox. A breakout room runs on OBS from a laptop. A Simulated Live event replays the morning keynote for people in other time zones.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A football tournament:<\/strong> Two fields run on two YoloBoxes. A third field uses a camera with RTMP output. You can run one ASP event next to regular events. However, you can never run two ASP events together.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Highlight Clips needs a live source.<\/strong> It works with a YoloBox or an RTMP source. However, it does not work with Simulated Live.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Uploads add up.<\/strong> If two sources share one internet connection, their uploads add together.
