The practical answer for producers streaming to Russian audiences is the two domestic platforms that actually work: <strong>RuTube<\/strong> (Russia&#8217;s YouTube equivalent, owned by Gazprom-Media) and <strong>VK Live<\/strong> (Vkontakte&#8217;s video and live streaming platform).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The good news is that both platforms use standard RTMP for ingest, which means YoloBox connects to them the same way it connects to any other RTMP destination. VK Live is the platform&#8217;s live streaming feature, integrated into the same user profiles and communities where Russian users already spend their time. VK Live is particularly strong for community-driven content \u2014 subject-specific groups, local events, education, live commerce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together they cover the two major distribution surfaces for Russian audiences. You&#8217;ll enter them into YoloBox in Part 3.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important:<\/strong> Keep your stream key private. Anyone with your stream key can broadcast to your channel. The workflow is similar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log into VK at vk.com.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Navigate to either your profile&#8217;s <strong>Video<\/strong> tab, or the <strong>Video<\/strong> section of the community you want to stream to.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Create Live Broadcast<\/strong> (\u0421\u043e\u0437\u0434\u0430\u0442\u044c \u0442\u0440\u0430\u043d\u0441\u043b\u044f\u0446\u0438\u044e).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set the broadcast title, description, category, and privacy settings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose <strong>External Video Source (RTMP)<\/strong> \u2014 this is the option for streaming from external hardware or software (as opposed to VK&#8217;s built-in webcam broadcaster).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You&#8217;ll be given:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Server URL<\/strong> \u2014 something like <code>rtmp:\/\/ovsu.mycdn.me\/input\/[unique_id]<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stream Key<\/strong> \u2014 a unique alphanumeric string<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy both values.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that VK&#8217;s stream key sometimes appears as a full URL that includes the key embedded, rather than as separate URL + key fields. In that case, you&#8217;ll paste the entire URL into YoloBox&#8217;s &#8220;Server URL&#8221; field and leave the stream key field empty \u2014 YoloBox handles both formats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Part_3_Configure_the_streaming_destinations_in_YoloBox\"><\/span>Part 3: Configure the streaming destinations in YoloBox<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now you&#8217;ll add these two destinations as custom RTMP streams on your YoloBox. Longer intervals reduce bitrate slightly but hurt streaming reliability and viewer seeking behavior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Your upload capacity is the real constraint.<\/strong> Streaming at 6 Mbps on a connection that &#8220;usually gets&#8221; 6 Mbps upload will drop frames. Aim for total upload capacity that&#8217;s 1.5-2x the sum of all destinations&#8217; bitrates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>VK Live 4K support is inconsistent.<\/strong> As of the current guide, VK Live&#8217;s ingest and delivery pipelines aren&#8217;t reliably delivering 4K to viewers even if you send it.
