First, you open the Scoreboards tool. Then you pick a template and drop it on screen. From there, you can size it, reposition it, and fully style it, including team names, fonts, colors, logos, periods, and count-up or count-down timers. Because it&#8217;s a native graphic, it stays crisp and readable no matter what, so it looks the most professional on stream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the catch is right there in the name: it&#8217;s manual. That&#8217;s the idea here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, you point a second camera straight at the physical scoreboard in the gym or arena. Then, on YoloBox Ultra, you bring that camera in using Add Video Source \u2192 &#8220;Customized.&#8221; Next, you crop the frame down to just the scoreboard, size it, and position it wherever you want. Now it lives as a floating overlay on top of your main game feed. As a result, when the real scoreboard changes, your on-screen scoreboard changes with it, automatically and with zero taps from you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, one of our users, Kevin Egeland, runs his high school games exactly this way: two cameras, one as the game cam and one dedicated to the scoreboard, with the scoreboard camera cropped and placed as an overlay. Because the overlay stays pinned while he cuts between shots, he can run a whole game solo without ever touching the score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still, the trade-off is honest. You need a second camera and an angle on the physical board, and your on-screen result is only as clear as that board is. If the arena scoreboard is bright, large, and well-lit, this looks great. You can still pull off the same effect with just one, as long as that camera sees both the action and the scoreboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Importantly, the technique is the same overlay approach as Method 2, so don&#8217;t think of it as a different feature. First, you frame a wide shot that captures both the game and the venue scoreboard. Then you crop the scoreboard region out into its own independent video source. After that, you copy that cropped source as a layer and paste it back onto your main feed as a floating overlay. Mechanically, it&#8217;s identical to the two-camera version. The only difference is where the pixels come from: instead of a dedicated camera, the scoreboard is lifted out of your one wide feed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Naturally, this is the most budget-friendly option, because it needs no extra hardware at all. However, it&#8217;s also the biggest compromise. You&#8217;re asking one wide shot to serve two jobs, so the main image is wider and softer than it would be with a tight game cam, and the cropped scoreboard is only as readable as that far-away angle allows.
